The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission was conceptualized and announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister in the meeting held on 22nd February, 2017 at Town Hall, Kolkata in presence of Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers. West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation, and Transparency) Bill, 2017 passed in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on 3rd March, 2017.

After obtaining the assent of His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal, the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017(West Bengal Act IV of 2017) was notified in the Kolkata Gazette vide Notification No.HF/SPSRC/28/2017/178, dated 17th March, 2017.

The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission was constituted vide Notification No. HF/SPSRC/28/2017/Pt.III/176, dated 17th March, 2017. First Meeting of the West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission was held on 22nd March, 2017 at Swasthya Sathi Building of Swasthya Bhawan campus at salt lake.
